Hello and welcome to Josi Saboia fiber artist!

Hi, my name is Josiane Saboia. I'm an ornithologist and interior designer I'm Brazilian but also a Canadian citizen. I currently live with my family in Ontario, CA. I want to show you my passion for manual tapestry.

Since I was very young, I have been in a home where handcrafts were present. I learned with my mother to use the threads using different techniques, such as crocheting, knitting, different embroidery on canvas.

But a few years ago when I came to live in Canada, I was introduced to the punch needle technique. A very old technique here in the northern region, but little known in my country. And I fell in love! Today I create wall and floor tapestry using the punch needle and tufting technique. And with my biggest inspiration is Nature!
